When the Stillness Kisses Us

Where else is spirit but buried
in the ancient memory of flesh?
 
Where else but in the vortex
of these two eyes
whose pathways
dance infinitely
through every
universe?
 
Where else but in the ley-lines
of these hands charting the stars’
mighty flowering
from the ovum
of Divine Time
 
whose mouth parted
from the Void
in a moment of ecstasy,
spilling what we now call
color
sound
knowledge
tender animal
of body
 
wet soft yearning
whispy, shaking, vibrating
crackling, thawing, moaning
heaving, breathing, sighing, crooning, groaning, laughing
tremble of Divine Matter?
 
Her Breast
must have swollen
in the fullness of Divine Mission:
to feed what was birthed
when the Stillness kissed Her.
 
To feed what is birthed
when the Stillness
kisses us.
