Do you feel the thaw happening in our collective nervous system as the springtime energies stir things up? An oriented and resilient nervous system can sense these stirrings and changes as a kind of raw aliveness... an aliveness that can be harnessed to pursue making choices in our lives in the direction of meaningful aligned change, or a rush of energy to put towards building the big dreams we may already be working toward. This aliveness is fundamentally safe, but it can feel overwhelming or "unsafe" if we are accustomed to living in a state of freeze. The thaw can feel a bit erratic (think of the intensity it must take the vegetation to thrust its way through the frozen, post-winter ground)! But with the right mindset and care for the body's needs to modulate its waves of energy (proper listening to meet needs for both activation and rest, in right rhythm and timing), the thaw can be a portal in which to uplevel your life and become unstuck in some deep ways! This month we are welcoming two new members into the Body & Soul Sanctuary, and it's exciting to get some new energies as we round off our lessons in building soil and begin to look toward planting seeds of dreams for the year ahead. In this week's video, I share two tips for navigating the thaw: Living in motion through embracing step-by-step choice-making (taking just one small next step at a time) and modulating the experience with full relaxation in between each wave of organic energy that ripples up through the nervous system. This is re-entering life in a way that does NOT LEAD TO BURNOUT. Here's the video: Comments are closed.
