This week I have another special share: an interview with a long-time client who is applying our work together to unravelling greater social & cultural narratives tied to systems of oppression and abuse of power. Not only can this work heal an ailing body and soul, but it can unlock pathways of possibility for new paradigms of operating within culture that resist narratives of oppression and perpetuation of collective trauma. Personally, I have found that I too was able to radically shift my relationship to systems, relationships, and environments that had me feeling powerless by showing up regularly to the practice of undoing all of the ways I'd silenced my body's voice. Here, Jess shares a bit about how she rediscovered her sense of authentic power through the safe and gentle (yet potent) approach to re-uniting with her body's wisdom as encouraged in our session work. A personal favorite line of mine: "It's like being massaged from the inside out!" Jess is also an example of a mother of three young children who identifies as neurodivergent and is pursuing a career in psycho-therapy while raising them, stepping into her divine authority to show up to all aspects of her life in a way that is in alignment with her values, choosing not to sacrifice her health or her integrity in the process. I am sure her journey will continue to inspire as we deepen the process within the Sanctuary! Comments are closed.
