Earth Work

​All places have a spirit.  This is an ancient and basic teaching that many of us know with our minds, but what does it mean to truly walk upon the Earth embodying this wisdom?  What does it mean to respect the spirit of a place in the same way that we respect the spirit in each other?  

In 2014 I set out from Oregon on a pilgrimage to the Four Corners area of the United States, following a calling I did not understand.  I had healed my body and spirit from the illness that had taught me the wisdom of uniting spirit-soul-heart-mind-body in a human being, and something bigger was asking for my attention, commitment and service: the Body and Soul of Mother Earth.

That summer I did not know what I was doing, nor even that there was a name for what I was doing.  I simply went where She led me, touched Her in places, spoke to Her, sang to Her, slept upon Her, cried with Her, felt the grief buried under the ground in places where trauma had been stored, and through my very attention and presence assisted in the healing and transmutation of Her energy body.

In a way I have always been doing this work, but that summer something shifted in my life: I consciously made Her a priority.  I put Her first in my life, and the bounty of gifts I have been given after making that commitment have been incredible.  Since that first journey, I have devoted much of my time to deepening this practice and to gaining technical skills that have assisted in greater understanding, focus and scope of the work, as well as connecting me consciously with an incredible team of beings who work with and through me to anchor the grid of the New Earth. 

There are many aspects to this work, including:
-connecting and communicating with the Oversoul of a place and the spirits and elementals that dwell in that place
-acting as mediator between the unseen factions of a place
-clearing imbalances and trauma from a place
-empowering a place through re-call of lost aspects
-working with the interface between on-planet and off-planet energies and systems
-uniting the spirit guardians with the human guardians of a place, bridging their connection for a rich and fertile relationship

More important than any of the details or specific tools used in the Earth Work I do, is the simple and profound act of treating Her as Subject, giving Her voice, giving Her the gift of my patience and time, slowing down to honor this incredible relationship.  I believe that it is this relationship upon which the manifestation of The New Earth depends, because the key ingredient for The New Earth is the permeation of conscious (aware), free (non-possessive) Love (recognition of Being) into all aspects of life: thinking, speaking, acting, relating.  Conscious Interconnection. And just as with our personal healing, so it is with our spiritual and planetary healing: Our Mother is the Root relationship.  Enlightening our relationship with Her enlightens our relationship with all things.
